Join us to celebrate young people's achievements at the British Youth Council reception 2017

Join us in the New Year, to celebrate and publically recognise the contribution of individual young people and member organisations to our work throughout 2016. The reception will include a presentation ceremony for young people to accept some Make Your Mark and Paul Boskett awards. These awards will recognise and accredit the hard work that young representatives have done in 2016 within their local communities and on a national platform.

The event is also an opportunity to bring together young people and decision makers to engage in dialogue on decisions that they care about.

Please note this event is by invite only.

At the close of registration all delegates will be emailed a formal invite to be printed out - bring it with you on the day to ensure swift admission.

Travel Bursaries

Due to support from Erasmus+, the British Youth Council are pleased to be able to offer some funding to cover the costs of young people attending the reception – especially for those who would not otherwise be able to attend. You will be entitled to claim an allowance up to the following amounts per person aged 14-30, (and an accompanying adult for those aged under 16) depending on the distance travelled. These figures are a maximum, we will pay whichever is lower from the bursary amount or the full travel cost.

This will depend on having receipts and completing a registered attendance/claim form at the event. We are not able to book travel in advance and cannot cover any costs for those who may book and are unable to attend on the day.
